David England

            David England became pastor of First Baptist Taft in November of 2010. He was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. He married his high school sweetheart, the girl up the street, Angie, in 1980 and they have been happily married for over 35 years. They have five children, three are teenagers and the two oldest are married. They have two granddaughters (Laura Kate and Rachael Anne) and one grandson (Noah David). David is a retired Air Force Veteran of 20 years. He surrendered to full-time Christian ministry in 1999 after his Air Force retirement and became Minister to Students at East End Baptist Church in Columbus, Mississippi. He then transferred to First Baptist Church of Tucumcari, New Mexico as Associate Pastor and eventually became the church's Senior Pastor. He moved to Flintville, Tennessee in 2008 and served as the Pastor of Ministries.

            David is a graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, holding a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies. He also has a degree in Logistics from the Community College of the Air Force.
            David has a love for Christ, his family and the church. He has a passion for God’s Word, the Bible, and teaching it in such a way that people can understand and apply to their life. He has a love for all ages and yearns to see people come into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to grow in their relationship with Him. His life verse is Psalm 1.
